Our Checklists Ensure Your Satisfaction
Meticulous Checklists Assure You’re Happy
Our Pre And Post-Installation Reminders
Help Remodeling Go 100% Smoothly
When you work with TightSeal Exteriors & Baths for a bath remodel or an entry door or window replacement project, you know it will proceed smoothly.
How?
Well, during every job, we schedule client meetings before and after the installation to have you confirm task checklists.
The pre-installation checklist prepares you for what will happen once the remodeling process begins. It gets everyone on the same page and ensures the following:
- We know what you expect from us.
- You know what we expect of you.
- We agree about the scope.
The post-installation checklist reminds everyone of what you expected from us. It also helps us determine whether we’ve completed the work properly and whether your fixtures or replacement windows meet your expectations.
Attendance at both checklist meetings is required before moving to the next step. Together, we review the items on the list carefully to minimize confusion.
The Checklist Contents
We developed the checklist process to minimize the possibility of errors and ensure you are as satisfied with our completed work as possible.
That’s why it is a two-step process.
The pre-installation checklist not only tells you what to expect of us but also explains what we expect you to do to help the project go smoothly. For instance, if you have pets, we ask that you kennel or leash them during the project. The safety of your household members is our top concern.
After the installation or tub conversion is completed, we ask you to review the post-installation checklist and sign off on the results. This checklist includes items such as adequate water pressure and drainage through fixtures and ensuring that our crew has cleaned up after itself.
We want to make sure your home looks pristine before we leave.
Window Pre-Installation Preparation
After you sign a contract, our office will contact you to confirm an installation date and provide an approximate arrival time. Please ensure an adult is home to meet the team upon arrival.
Before a window replacement, we ask that you take steps to ensure the process goes smoothly. For example, we request that you remove any paperwork, decor, or other indoor items from the area within 3-4 feet in front of the windows.
Likewise, please remove pet waste and personal belongings from 10 feet in front of the windows on the home’s exterior.
We also ask that you remove all window treatments, shades, curtains, and blinds prior to our arrival. We are not liable for any damage to window treatments if they’re not removed before the installation.
If you have an alarm system in place, It is your responsibility to contact the alarm company and notify them of the window installation. The alarm company must reconnect your system and remove sensors from the old windows as necessary.
We do our best to prevent damage to the plaster and/or drywall during window replacement. If this happens, we patch those areas as best as possible.
Bathroom Remodel Preparation
We ask that you take similar steps before a bathroom remodel. Remove window treatments from the bathroom and keep kids and pets out of the area. Remove personal items like shower curtains, towels, shampoo, conditioner, etc., from the work area.
These requests are made to limit the possibility of damage to your belongings and ensure the installation of windows, fixtures, and bath appliances goes as smoothly and efficiently as possible. We don’t want to waste your time or cause any losses.
Before we start the installation, we’ll review the work order with you, provide warranty information, and ask if you need a shower curtain or rings hung.
The Satisfaction Wrap-Up
Once the project is finished, we walk through the work area with you to review the quality of the work we’ve done.
We ask about the water pressure and temperature, whether you like what you see, and whether windows open, close, and lock easily. We show you how everything operates and make sure you understand.
We confirm with you that the work area is clean, that we’ve removed all debris and tools, and whether we need to polish windows or fixtures.
The results should be terrific and beautiful. But if they don’t meet your expectations, we won’t leave until they do.
